The website contains useful information on how to manage the database using backend application. It shows how to add / remove materials, how to define price lists, manage them, add price groups for various elements in the database, how to change your translations and how to generate an application update.

Visium Home backend is the web application which allows you to manage database elements, raw materials activations, pricelists etc.
To prepare your database, you need to follow a few steps listed below
After you finish all steps you will be able to generate the update package. The update will contain everything that we have set on the individual tabs of the application. Starting with the activity of raw materials through price lists and application translations.

How to login
Visium Home backend is the web application which allows you to manage database elements and application settings. It is available online on backend.visiumhome.com To login please use your login and password and press Login.

When you logged in profile page will be displayed. You can check License type and other details corresponding your profile. There is also Google Sheets link where you can paste the link to your own Google sheet. Software can exchange data which means you are able to export database to google sheet make some changes there and import back to the web app. To add your link press Edit button and paste the link.

RAW MATERIAL is the basic structure in the database thanks to which products are created in the program. The raw material may be a component of a product (e.g. a chipboard which is one of the components of a finished product such as a shelf / wall), but it may also function independently and be a product itself (e.g. a pantograph). Below You can find the Raws tab presenting Egger panels.
On the screen You can find Index, Name, Measure ratio, Active in master DB, Active in my DB and Edit column. You can easily filter raw materials by index or by name f.e. Egger for Egger panels. You can combine index and name filtering at the same time.

Raw materials
To activate / deactivate materials select the checkbox at the row. Selected materials willl be availiable in pricelist and in the software. You can select material one by one. When you change the value, remmember to commit changes at the end.

You can also select materials by applying filter and use Activate button for all filtered materials.

RAWS DELAY is the place where You can define the Raw material delivery time in the program. If the material is not available in stock You can tell the software to mention about while projecting. Designer and Customer knows about extended time before confirming the order.
Go to Raws configuration > Raws Delay to list the materials with delay parameter. You can easily filter raw materials by index or by name f.e. Egger for Egger panels. You can combine index and name filtering at the same time.

To activate / deactivate delay material time select the row and set the time (days). Selected materials willl be availiable in project with extra delivery time warning. When you change the value, remmember to commit changes at the end.

You can also export materials to Google sheet and define the values there. Press Export to Google sheet button and wait a while.

All materials in the database are described by unit. The unit tells the software how to calculate the price, eg a vertical stile is purchased in pieces but the software has to convert it to m. So there are units defined in the software to calculate such differences. On below screen you can find the Sahara profiles with ratio definition:
Software will take the definition and calculate the final price by the ratio. So the end price for the customer will be in m (instead pcs.) You can edit the value by adding the new one.

Accessories are items added additionally within the manufacturing facility only. They will be available in the OCS panel.
To add the new accessory plese go to OCS Configuration > Accessories

In the new form add required information, select availiable category for new item and save changes.

The supply price is the price at which we buy goods from our suppliers. On its basis, we create price lists that the software uses to calculate project prices for end customers. It is important that they are prepared reliably and accurately, because on their basis the software performs further calculations.

When export is done use Open Google Sheet button to check the values or make the changes. You can add values, import the prices like in Excel. It’s up to You.

Installation services
The other way to change the values (e.g. 20 % up) is to use the group pricelists defined in the template. Go to Pricelists, open your pricelist and find the group with index starting from „MON%”. Add the ratio at 1.2 which means 20% up.

The main VISIUM PLANT / USER pricelist is the pricelist at which it sells its products to customers. If it is a larger company with its own sales network, the DEALER price list can also be used. The DEALER price list is used only if you have a network of points of sale or entities that directly cooperate and make purchases at the factory. It is used to determine the selling prices for our entity who purchases in our plant. The discount level of the Dealer’s price list is very diverse and ranges from 15% to 50%. The dealer network uses the main price list, thanks to which in the case of the model in which we both sell, we as a producer and the network of Deler points, we all use the main pricelist and the customer has the same price regardless of where he made the purchase. If the VISIUM PLANT / USER does not have its own network, then the DEALER’S price list is the same as the Main Plant’s Price List.
Pricelist generation for the end customers use the supply prices and multiplier to calculate the values. The multiplier for the purchase price in the system, giving us the final selling price. The rates vary greatly from country to country and even from region to region. Generally, it is assumed that the coefficient for manufactured elements is in the range of 2.5 to 8. The coefficient of 2.5 is taken as a minimum. It should be remembered that the coefficient includes all costs of manufacturing such an element as a machine, costs of a production hall, electricity, labor costs, storage, etc. Other coefficients are used for elements that do not require production procsess, the factor here is less and starts from 1.3 up to 5. It’s quite simple, the higher the net purchase price, the smaller the coefficient is used so that the prices of the elements in the program are the market price.

To create new pricelist hit the Create new pricelist button. Add the required fields:

When you hit Add button the new pricelist will be set. You can change the valuse if it’s required. Software will use the ratios and calculate the prices when you generate the update.

If you open the pricelist you can find the calculated values with all ratios and also with unit ratios. You can check that the Top and bottom track 5500 meters long are calculated in m now because the unit ratio 5.5 applied.

Like mentioned above some elements needs to have different multiplier than other elements. That means we want to sell the products with the ratio like 2 or even less ( instead 3). There is the option to Create New pricegroup where you can add different ratios for the element (or group of elements). Imagine you want to set different ratio for runners. Add the new pricegroup as screened below. Runners will be calculated by 2,3 (different than the rest elements in the pricelist)

It the system there are some default pricegroup already predefined. You can import them by pressing the Import from template button. You can then delete or change imported pricegroups.

You can change them, delete and add your own groups. Prices generated will take the ratio value from the definition.

Dealers
To add a user, go to the Dealers tab and click Create new button. Add the email and name and click Add button.

If we have entered everything into the system as described, we can generate an application update. The update will contain everything that we have set on the individual tabs of the application. Starting with the activity of raw materials through price lists and application translations.
Go to the Visium profile and hit the Create XML Update button. Software will generate the update package. Prices are automatically transferred to the OCS system.

When operation is done you can download the update package. Press the Download Visium database update button and save it on your machine.

Start Visium Home application and go to Configuration > Update database and press the Import elements and pricelist button.

When import is finished, database will be updated and all changes will be available in the Visium Home software.
